Classification of slip ring cable trays
The cable reel can be divided into non-electric type and electric type according to the driving form; According to the cable arrangement, it can be divided into an axial single row and axial multi-row; According to the position of the collector slip ring, it can be divided into slip ring inner type and slip ring outer type; According to the winding materials, it is divided into armored cable drum and hose drum. The non-electric type includes: elastic (TA) type, heavy hammer (ZC) type and magnetic coupling type (JQC); Electric-type includes: magnetic coupling type (JQD), torque motor type (KDO), hysteresis type (CZ), and variable frequency control type (BP).
Working principle of cable drum:
The power part and speed regulation part on the cable drum are borne by the motor, which has unique electrical and mechanical characteristics. The motor has a wide speed regulation range and soft mechanical characteristics. When the load changes, the working speed of the motor also changes accordingly, that is, the load increases, the speed decreases, the load decreases, and the speed increases. Moreover, the motor can run stably for a long time at any point on the mechanical characteristic curve of torque and speed, so it can ensure that the cable can obtain appropriate winding speed and tension on the corresponding radius of the reel.
1. The output torque of the cable winding motor is used as the power to drive the reel to collect the cable through the deceleration part.
2. Release the output torque of the cable motor as the blocking force to prevent the cable from rapidly opening the reel and ensure the synchronization of cable laying.
3. During the shutdown, the long-term locked rotor motor is equipped with a disc normally closed brake, which can ensure that the cable will not slip from the reel due to gravity when the motor is powered off.
To ensure that the cable line is always unobstructed, it is inseparable from the contribution of the slip ring. According to the different installation methods of conductive slip ring, it can be divided into three structures: slip ring inner type, slip ring outer type and cantilever type. The slip ring is built-in, with a compact structure and beautiful appearance; the Slip ring is externally installed for easy maintenance; The cantilever is suitable for winding long and heavy cables.

1. Slip ring built-in
This kind of cable drum is generally installed horizontally. As the name suggests, the slip ring is installed inside the central shaft of the cable drum.
2. Slip ring external type
It is usually suitable for the case that the cable specification is often changed or multiple cables share one drum. The slip ring is installed on the side of the cable drum along the axial direction, and there is usually a protective shell outside. The structure of the slip ring is easy to replace.
3. Slip ring cantilever
The conductive slip ring of the cable drum is installed in the base and installed along the axial direction. The cantilever position is the drum part. This kind of cable drum is suitable for the situation of large space, long and heavy cable, and is commonly used in the crown block/hoist crane of port machinery.
The above are three common optional slip rings. 1、 Cable reel storage:
Wires and cable strands shall not be stored in the open air, and the cable reel shall not be placed horizontally. If stored in the open air, rainproof work shall be done.
The warehoused products shall be stored by category to achieve clear distinction and marked with obvious products.

2、 Cable reel transportation:
When hoisting reels, it is strictly prohibited to hoist several reels at the same time. On the vehicle, the cable reel must be placed stably, not horizontally, and fixed with appropriate methods.
Products shall be covered during transportation in rainy and snowy days to prevent wetting. The product identification and inspection status mark shall be protected during handling to prevent loss or erasure-
During transportation, it is strictly prohibited to drop the cable reel with cable or stranded wire from a height, and it is strictly prohibited to mechanically damage the cable and stranded wire.
The reel shall be selected according to the length of the cable and the allowable bending radius. Generally, the bending radius shall not be less than 20 times of the outer diameter of the cable.
For long-distance transportation of aluminum strand and steel core wire out of the province, the plate with a nailed sealing plate shall be used for interval packaging with a wood plate.
